JERUSALEM, October 21 (IslamOnline & News Agencies) – The Israeli
occupation army murdered two Palestinians in the Gaza Strip Monday,
October 21, and demolished the homes of two Palestinian activists in the
West Bank.
The
occupation army shot dead the two Palestinians near the Kfar Darom
settlement in Gaza, an Israeli military spokesman told Agence
France-Presse (AFP).
There
was no immediate confirmation from Palestinian security or hospital
sources, said AFP.
Meanwhile,
the Israeli army demolished the home of an imprisoned member of the
Islamic resistance group Hamas in Qabatiya in the northern West Bank,
the village's mayor, Qassem al-Ouna, told AFP Monday.
Half-a-dozen
tanks, a bulldozer and several other armored vehicles surrounded the
home of Rabi Abu-Roub, 25, an activist from the Hamas military wing, who
was abducted by the army five months ago.
The
Israeli soldiers ordered his 10-member family outside early Monday
morning and then flattened their home, the mayor added.
The
army earlier admitted to destroying the home of Rabia Rafiq Sharif, a
member of Hamas' smaller resistance counterpart, Islamic Jihad, in
Qabatiya.
Since
the summer, the Israeli army has destroyed the homes of Palestinian
fighters as part of a policy of collective punishment – a policy
highly condemned by the international community.
Separately,
the army announced it abducted eight Palestinians overnight in the West
Bank, without giving further details, said AFP.
Meanwhile,
the Israeli army further plans to invest 54 million dollars (55.5
million euros) in building new outposts in the Gaza Strip and a
so-called "protection wall" in the southern flashpoint town of
Rafah, a top general said Sunday, October 20, AFP reported.

The
new outposts would reinforce existing Israeli border positions to
prevent retaliatory infiltrations by Palestinian freedom fighters and
Palestinian gunfire across the frontier, General Tzvi Fogel, the
commander for southern Israel, said on public radio.
Over
the next two years, the occupation army will also erect a wall near
Rafah, an impoverished town on the border with Egypt and the scene of
regular fatal clashes, Fogel said.
On
Thursday, October 17, the Israeli army killed eight Palestinians,
including two children when Israeli tanks blasted two houses in Rafah
with shells and heavy machinegun fire.
The
murdered children were a four-year-old girl and a 12-year-old child, AFP
reported.
Among
the dead were also two young men and two elderly women, and a dozen
Palestinians were listed as seriously hurt.
The
Israeli tanks fired three shells at the houses and blasted them with
heavy machinegun fire, said Palestinian medical and security officials.
