Palestinians Protest Barrier, Israel Blocks Village 
Palestinians on Saturday, July 6, 2008, held a protest just outside the West Bank village of Ni'lin calling for an end to the blockade of the village. Israeli forces blockaded the Palestinian
village on Saturday in what the army called an effort to curb protests against the construction of a West Bank barrier deemed illegal by the World Court. Troops were encircling Ni'lin to prevent would-be foreign protesters from joining protests against the barrier that cuts into occupied West Bank land.
