PESHAWAR, October 7 (IslamOnline) - A year after the beginning of the U.S. war against Afghanistan, a Taliban senior official accused former ministers and senior officials in the movement of being traitors and agents to the united states before the fall of Taliban.

These accusations came in a letter send to IslamOnline’s correspondent in Peshawar in Pakistan. The message is written in Persian and signed with the name Mulawi Ghaznawi, known as the spokesman of the Taliban movement.

In his message, Ghaznawi accused the former minister of energy and water in the Taliban government of taking money from the U.S. as well as equipment such as satellite cellular phones to be able to sent intelligence related information to the Americans.

He added that he has the documents that will prove his accusations and that he will reveal them in another letter in the near future.

He also added that Abdel Rahman Zahed, assistant of the former foreign minister and Abdel Hakim Monieb, assistant of the former transportation minister, received similar equipments and funds in exchange of providing information before the U.S. attack on Afghanistan launched on October 7, 2002.

They received the money and the equipments through an intermediately person called Othman, he said, adding that he is an engineer in the computer division in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“Othman was receiving the money and the equipments through the United Nations office in Kabul,” he said.

In the last few days before the fall of Taliban, there were rumors that some intelligence elements related to the Israeli intelligence (Mussad) penetrated inside the government, he said.

“Days later, news about these cellular phones given to specific people started,” he added.

He also said that because of the war and the U.S. bombing, it was not possible to investigate this issue or take any legal actions against the high ranking traitors.

Ghaznawi also hint that Afghani Foreign Minster knew that his assistance had relations with the Americans.
