DOHA,
October 7 (IslamOnline) - Marking the one-year
anniversary of the U.S. offensive on Afghanistan, Taliban leader
Mullah Mohammad Omar sent a message “to the free world”, a day after
Afghan President Hamid Karzai said Omar is alive.
“Since
the start of the U.S. aggression, the United States is not winning,
instead the Americans suffered huge human and material losses, as 700
American soldiers were killed and another 100 are prisoners, Mullah Omar
said in a letter sent by email to IslamOnline from the media committee
of the Taliban.
“Hundreds
of U.S. tanks, armored trucks, as well as tens of planes were also
destroyed, causing billions of dollars losses to the Americans,” he
added.
“On
October 7, 2001, the world witnessed the ferocious American-Zionist
attack with all its advanced weapons and capabilities against the
unarmed defenseless Afghani people,” he said in the letter addressed
to the Afghani people, the Islamic nation and the whole free
world.
The
only reason behind this continuous aggression, which includes strong
random bombings, killings, stealing and imprisonment, is that the
Afghani people wanted to live according to their Shari’a,
Islamic regulations, he said.
In
the message written in Persian, a language Mullah Omar doesn’t speak,
he promised the Afghans that he and his group will continue to fight and
will never surrender.
Choosing
the Persian language for the first time to issue a statement indicates
it is sent to all sects and tribes of Afghanistan, not the Pashtuns
only, said Husbanullah Mutawakel, IOL Afghanistan Correspondent.
The
message was written in an organized clear good style, a criteria that
does not apply on Mullah Omar previous letters, he added.
This
means that someone has written this message for him and that the Taliban
has the place and the resources enabling them to have a media committee
that issue such statements, he added.
Omar
also pledged that the Islamic caliphate will be revived on the global
level, adding that justice will be served against the Americans and
their agents and that he will revenge the killing of every Afghan.
“Defending
the causes and the human rights of the Islamic world, including the
Palestinians, the Kashmiris and the Chechens is also an oath I am taking
and a promise I am giving,” he added.
Comparing
the U.S. losses to those of the Russians shows that the U.S. suffered in
its first year of attack double the losses of the Russians, he said,
adding that this is a sign that the Afghans fighters will won at the
end.
“As
a result of this aggression, the Americans have shown their real ugly
face and evil intentions to the world, which led to the widespread hate
against them in the whole world,” he said.
“Only
fools and stupid people still believe that the United States is a pigeon
of peace and a land of liberty, democracy, security and human rights,”
he added.
The
Jihad operations are continuing on a daily basis in eight Afghani
cities, and it will start in other parts very soon, he said.
He
added that the “traitor Afghani government, with all its power and
capabilities, can not do anything and it will deteriorate to its end in
the near future because of the internal conflicts between these agents
and each other from one side and between them and their American masters
from the other.”
“The
fighting Afghanis are now led by anti Islam ex-communists leaders,” he
said.
As
the Afghani people are hit with cruise missiles, the allegedly Islamic
governments and their traitor leaders are doing nothing but silently
watching this unjust crusades continuing, he said.
“All
what matters to these leaders is that they remain in offices ruling
their thrones,” he said, adding that contrary to what countries like
Iran, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia expected from their silence, they are
now under attack from the Americans.
“Looks
like the flames of this war won’t stop at Afghanistan borders, but it
will continue to devour everything around it,” he added.
The
only solution against this genocide against Muslims is jihad, Holy
war, and the only way to get rid of the weakness of the Islamic
world is to submit to God not to the Americans, he said.
Omar
also asked the Mujahaddeen everywhere “to unite and organize their
forces and to attack the U.S. interests everywhere.”
