Paul Bremer

Paul Bremer, former head of the US State Department’s counterterrorism office, served as Special Assistant or Executive Assistant to six US Secretaries of State.

He received his BA from Yale University and an MBA from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration.

In 1983, Bremer was named as the US Ambassador to the Netherlands where he served for three years. In 1986, he was appointed Ambassador-at-Large for Counter Terrorism; he was in charge of developing and implementing the US global policies against terrorism.

In 1989, after he spent more than two decades in diplomatic course, Paul Bremer joined Kissinger Associates as a Managing Director.

Bremer became chairman and CEO of the Crisis Consulting Practice of Marsh Inc. in 2001.
